ButwhatisthenatureoftherelationshipbetweenSituationsAandB? Noneofthestudentsintheinventiongroupcameupwiththecanonicalsolutionoftheproblem (standardizedscores),,,,andtheythennoticedcriticaldifferencesbetweenthem,,juxtaposingtheirownvagueideasaboutcentraltendencyandvariabilitywiththestandardstatisticalversionsofthesamephenomenaprovidedthemwithanothercontrast.
