组织合作型中的教师专业发展学校是20世纪80年代在美国出现的一种教师教育模式，目的是“在大学的教育学院与中小学之间建立协作关系，以此实现教师职前培养与在职教师专业发展的一体化”。[10]美国在对教师专业发展学校的评价方面，近些年更多的是积极赞同的。除了目的中追求的职前教师和在职教师的发展，这些中小学校的学生也受益良多。“学校里的学生不仅受益于中小学校的指导教师和大学教师丰富的经验，同时也受益于师范生带到课堂中的新知识和活力”。[11]小群体或者个体型中的学生发展评价模式也是教师教育界新近聚焦的一点，许多研究者提议将能够从新的角度评价学生作为教师专业学习和发展的一种形式，并创建一种新的评价体系。[12]学者认为这种评价应是“收集关于学生的知识、技能和性格等的资料……以及依据收集的信息做出具有某种目的（如更好地了解学生需求、制定更好的教育目标和更好的设计教学等）的判断的过程”。[13]教师在做到这些的时候，一方面可以促进自身的专业发展，同时对学生的各方面发展都会起到更好的作用。
